OMG Taco - Inman Park

Euclid Ave Inman Park

OMG Taco opened their doors today.  They are located on Euclid Ave in Little 5 Points Inman Park.  It's an interesting place.  Half the space is dedicated to the bar and half the space is where you order your food.  They offer Korean Mexican fare such as tacos and burritos with Korean style beef, chicken or fish.

This place is very casual.  There's a counter with chairs that surround each room and there are some tables in the bar area.  You basically walk up to the order window and place your order.  Wait a few minutes until they call your name and you're good to go.  If you need a quick bite to eat for a couple bucks then OMG Taco is your place.  For more info click here.

The Wrecking Bar Brewpub - Inman Park

The Wrecking Bar - Moreland Ave

The Wrecking Bar Brewpub opened a few months ago.  It's located in the Inman Park neighborhood on Moreland Ave.  It's an old victorian mansion that has been sitting unoccupied and in disrepair forever.
They did a fantastic job renovating the place.  The upstairs is reserved for private event space and the downstairs is the restaurant/brewpub. They have a small patio area to eat if you're in the mood for some fresh air.
This is a cool quaint spot.  You gotta love the cozy basement/ski lodge decor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Clean, inviting and comfortable.
They have a pretty nice beer and wine list. Prices are very good. Sandwiches are less than $10. Entrees are less than $20. I'll take that. Bonus...complimentary valet.
It's a welcome addition to the area. Very friendly and attentive service, good beer, and tasty food.  For more info click here.

IFO Signs - Inman Park

IFO Signs at Night - Dekalb Ave Inman Park

IFO Signs is located on Dekalb Ave in the Inman Park neighborhood.  They have been around since 1996 and offer a wide variety of interior and exterior signs as well as vehicle graphics.  They share the building with Fallen Arrows (T Shirts) and Polly on the Avenue Ceramic Studio.  Every time I see the "Be the person your dog thinks you are!" sign it makes me smile.

Waddell Street - Inman Park

Waddell Street Inman Park

Waddell is a cool little street right on the edge of Inman Park.  Most people use it to cut through from Lake Ave to Edgewood Ave, but take a closer look.  There are some real gems on this street!

City Issue - Inman Park

City Issue - Inman Park

City Issue is a Retro furniture store located on Elizabeth Street in the area behind Pure restaurant.  They specialize in 60's and 70's furniture that has been restored to original standards. The merchandise is fun and the store has a friendly feel to it.  I will mention that good mid-century modern furniture doesn't come cheap, but there's always a bargain to be found.

City Issue also carries great gifts for your friends that enjoy design.  They also have rotating contemporary art exhibits which provide a nice counterpoint to all the nostalgia.  Don't miss a chance to check out City Issue - even for window shopping.   For more information click here.

Parish Restaurant - Inman Park

Parish on N. Highland

Parish restaurant is located on North Highland in the Inman Park/Old Fourth Ward Neighborhood.  The restaurant is upstairs and the market is downstairs around the back.  They have outdoor seating on the side and in the back as you can see from the photographs.

The downstairs market has a very comfortable cool vibe and it's bigger than you would think.  They have a nice menu and there is a coffee bar as well.

The service was very friendly and fast.  This place just feels comfortable and there was a steady stream of people coming in and out when I was there.  They have limited parking in the back but it's so easy just to walk there and enjoy the atmosphere.  For more information click here.

Front Page News - Inman Park

Moreland Ave Inman Park

Front Page News is located on Moreland Ave in the Little 5 Points section of Inman Park.  I've been to FPN many times over the years and it is consistently good.  Meaning good friendly service, good food, and they make you feel welcome.  The food won't win any awards but the place is basically a sports bar after all.  They have good sandwiches and good salads.
The outside patio is the real gem of the place.  It's great to sit out there with friends and family and enjoy your meal with all the great city sounds in the background.  Another great feature is the free parking.  Parking is a hassle in Little 5 Points but not at Front Page News.  They have a free parking garage.  Nice!  For more information click here.

Inman Park is for the Birds

There are many owls in the neighborhood. This one was in my backyard.

I'm not a bird watcher but Inman Park is certainly full of birds in all shapes and sizes.  All these photographs were taken in the neighborhood.  Even though I'm not a nature photographer it's hard to resist grabbing the camera when the birds come into the back yard.
